Ph.D Assistantship in Coastal Dynamics, Montclair State University
Posición Description: The Environmental Management Program at the Montclair State University seeks a Ph.D. student to begin in Sept 2016. Application deadline: February 15th.
The student will be involved in exploring the co-evolution of human activities and natural processes in the coastal environment. This work will yield a set of new integrated geological, ecological and economic modeling tools to predict shoreline evolution under different storm hazard and sea-level rise scenarios over a time scale of several decades. The models and results will be useful for sustainable hazard management and planning in coastal communities faced with increased sea-level rise, erosion, and inundation associated with climate change.
Qualifications: A degree in coastal engineering/geomorphology/
